Battery Building Open House Is a Huge Success
- 8/15/2011
On Tuesday, August 9, Advanced Restoration Services unveiled the rehabilitated, 110-year-old Bedford Battery Company Building, Bedford, Iowa. This will be the new home of our water damage and fire damage Contents Cleaning and Restoration Division.
We were happy to host members of the press and the community as we cut the ribbon at the Grand Opening ceremony. The Taylor County Cattlemen grilled approximately 250 lbs. of hamburgers and hot dogs. Kids worked up an appetite in the Disney® Bounce Castle.

The Bedford Battery Company Building historic rehabilitation includes new period-looking windows and garage door, repair of damaged lintels and cornices, exterior brick tuck-pointing with period matching lime-based mortar, and installation of new tin ceilings. Materials were carefully chosen to match early 1900s building design styles and proportions. Check out this post for more details about the rehabilitation.

Tours began here with balloons and free gifts.
Tours began with before and after photos of the building. Attendees were then guided through the cleaning and restoration process. Before leaving all were encouraged to sign up for door prizes, the Grand Prize being a 37-inch Vizio LCD 1080-pixel television. All in attendance received a gift bag.

Thank you Taylor County Cattlemen.
With the help Stan Mattes of the Taylor County Cattleman, Advanced Restoration Services staff served up approximately 200 hamburgers and 200 hot dogs, and fixings, to the hungry crowd.

Disney® Bounce Castle entertained the kids.
